I AM USING AN OLD GARMIN 160 TRANSDUCER THAT I HAD PREVIOUSLY MOUNTED IN A "SHOOT-THRU-HULL" MT AND IT FUNCTIONS GREAT UP TO 35 MPH(TOP SPEED OF MY BOAT). I HAD TO BUY A $13.00 ADAPTER CABLE TO CHANGE IT FROM A 6 PIN TO A 4 PIN CONNECTION & GARMIN TECH DEPT ADVISES ME I AM LOOSING SOME NEW TECHNOLOGY FEATURES WITH THE OLD TRANSDUCER BUT i AM VERY HAPPY WITH WHAT I SEE.
